3.1. You must register for an account to access most features of the Service.

3.2. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.3. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activities or actions under your account.

3.4. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security.

4.1. You retain all rights to the Content you upload to the Service.

4.2. By uploading Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

4.3. You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to your Content
• Your Content does not violate any third-party intellectual property rights
• Your Content complies with these Terms and applicable law

5.1. You may only upload and share Research Papers for which you have the legal right to do so.

5.2. We respect copyright law and expect our users to do the same. We will remove Content in response to formal infringement claims.

5.3. The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Paperbrain LLC and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

6.1. Reviews and Shared Content Guidelines

When creating reviews or sharing content, you agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or defamatory content
• Engage in harassment or hate speech
• Share confidential information without authorization
• Post spam or promotional content unrelated to the paper being reviewed
• Manipulate the review system or artificially inflate ratings
• Repost others' reviews without proper attribution

6.2. General Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
• Violate or encourage others to violate the rights of third parties, including intellectual property rights
• Upload, share, or distribute Content that you don't have the right to share
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or any other systems or networks connected to the Service

7.1. The Service allows you to share Content with other users through folders, study groups, and public/private reviews.

7.2. You are responsible for managing access to your shared Content and understanding the implications of making Content available to others.

7.3. When you create a review of a paper:

• You retain ownership of your review content
• By making a review public, you grant all users of the Service permission to view and access your review
• You are responsible for ensuring your review does not violate any third-party rights
• You may not include confidential or proprietary information in public reviews
• We reserve the right to remove or restrict access to any review that violates these Terms

7.4. For private reviews:

• You control who can access your review
• You can modify access permissions at any time
• Recipients of private reviews must respect any confidentiality requirements you specify

7.5. We are not responsible for how other users may use or share your Content once you have shared it with them.

7.6. You acknowledge that while you can delete or modify access to your reviews, copies may remain in others' folders or backups if previously shared.

8.2. By using the Service, you agree to our collection and use of information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

9.1. The Service may integrate with or contain links to third-party services or websites. We are not responsible for any third-party content, services, or practices.

10.1. We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason.

10.2. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11.1. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

11.2. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location
• Any errors or defects will be corrected
• The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components

13.1. We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time.

13.2. We will provide reasonable notice of any material changes to these Terms.

13.3. Your continued use of the Service after changes to the Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
